What is the cost of your services?
Cost is obviously important. Since all our client engagements are custom, we don’t have a blanket pricing strategy.
Our goal is to provide the services you need within a budget that works for you.
I’m in a different province. Can you still help me?
Of course. As a virtual firm, we work online and can collaborate with clients across Canada.
Furthermore, we can also work with clients worldwide, ensuring their needs align with the Canadian tax system and market.
Why Creative Minds Accounting?
Another great question! Before Creative Minds Accounting, we ran a traditional firm. Over a few years, we naturally attracted a number of creative businesses.
We noticed some unique challenges they faced and, over time, developed systems to address many of their common issues. In February 2025, we decided to focus more on these clients.
How does Creative Minds Accounting use AI?
I’m glad you asked. We believe AI won’t replace accountants, but accountants who use AI will replace those who don’t.
We primarily use it as a time-saving tool for tasks like client emails, social media posts, and other written work. It also serves as a starting point for tasks, further saving us time. For instance, we recently created a client proposal template using AI. We then filled in the sections, adding missing information and removing unnecessary parts.
Additionally, AI helps us research client work. It’s never a substitute for our expertise, and we always double-check its accuracy, but as a starting point, it saves quite a bit of time.
As a small firm, AI allows us to complete tasks faster and more accurately, directly translating into savings for our clients.
I’m not a creative business, but would you still work with me?
Absolutely. We primarily work with creative businesses, but we’re a full-service accounting firm and can certainly assist traditional businesses as well.
Why do I need an Accountant?
That’s a great question. Many creative people we encounter could teach a masterclass in hustle: they have multiple income streams from various sources.
However, this can lead to tax liabilities when it’s time to file taxes. Furthermore, developing a plan helps focus your business side of your craft, ensuring you’re building a solid foundation to sustain your art.
You say you are a virtual Accounting firm, what does that mean?
The short answer is this means we do everything online. We hold the majority of our client meetings online and do the majority of our work on the cloud.
I get anxious talking about money, taxes and finances in general. What should I do?
We completely understand. Many of our clients felt the same way before speaking with us. While we can’t guarantee that talking to us will magically and permanently eliminate these feelings of anxiety, we can offer a judgment-free, supportive space to discuss them.
